I’m always looking for something that can pull double-duty. Especially in the kitchen, and especially when it comes to meal-prep!

These turkey patties are perfect when you need a grab-and-go quality protein! Plus, they have a small serving of starchy carbs to give you a macronutrient boost, and I also used coconut oil for cooking them just to give it a bit of quality fat.

So far I’ve used these for breakfast, with a salad, and as a quick after-work snack!

Sweet Potato Turkey Patties

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 small sweet potato, grated (approx 1 cup)
  • 2 green onions, sliced thin
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil


How to cook Sweet Potato Turkey Patties

  1. Grate the sweet potato and squeeze with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead together with hands.
  3. Lightly grease a skillet with the coconut oil. Warm the skillet to medium and place the patties in the pan.
  4. Cook on both sides 5-7 minutes or until done through.
