So basil is probably one of my favorite things. Like, ever. The fragrance alone makes me smile! I try to use it when and wherever I can, and with strawberries, it’s even better! There was a season where I couldn’t have it; I’d taken a food sensitivities test and it turns out basil was a “red” for me. When I saw that on my report I was SO disappointed. Thankfully, a gut-healing protocol and an elimination diet helped me get things back in check and TAAAA-DAAAA…I’m eating basil again!

Strawberry and Basil Relish

A sweet and tangy salsa that's easy and versatile!


  • 6 Large strawberries, diced
  • 2/3 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 green onion, finely sliced (greens and bulb)
  • Juice of 1 large lime
  • 1 tbsp raw honey


How to cook Strawberry and Basil Relish

  1. Combine the strawberries, basil and onion.
  2. In a bowl, mix the lime juice and honey together.
  3. Pour the lime juice and honey over the strawberries, basil and onion. Stir to combine, and chill in the fridge in about 20 minutes!
