Is there anything better than a creamy, zesty Mediterranean dip? Why yes, there is! A DAIRY FREE version of said dip!

We have an amazing local Mediterranean restaurant, and every time we go I stare at their Tzatziki endlessly…missing the cool, zesty, lemony flavor it added to like, everything.

But thanks to coconut yogurt, I can have it at home anytime I want! I use Cocoyo brand yogurt as the base, and it always turns out creamy and smooth. Feel free to play around with the herbs you use too! Parsley and mint make awesome additions for variety!

I serve my Tzatziki with fresh veggies, Mediterranean Meatballs or toasted cassava crackers but a dab would be amazing atop a baked white fish…think I’ll try that next!

A dairy free version of the zesty Mediterranean dip!


  • 8 oz. container of coconut yogurt
  • 1/4 of a cucumber, peeled and grated
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp dill
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt


How to cook Dairy Free Tzatziki

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for a half hour before serving.
