Teriyaki Pork Lettuce Wraps

I recently went to dinner with friends to a well-known large chain restaurant. And couldn’t eat a thing 🤣! But sometimes it’s about the company more than the food. Anyhoo...I’ve been wanting their lettuce wraps ever since, so I made my own soy and sesame seed free version at home!

•1 lb ground pork
•1/4 white onion, diced
•4 garlic cloves, minced
•1 carrot, shredded
•1-2 cups shredded green cabbage
•1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
•1 green onion, finely sliced
•1 head of Butter Lettuce or "Living" Lettuce
•1/2 tsp sea salt
•1/2 tsp garlic powder
•6 tbsp Coconut Aminos
•2 tbsp honey
•2 tsp ground ginger

  1. In a skillet, cook the pork until it begins to brown.
  2. Add the onion, minced garlic, sea salt and garlic powder and continue cooking over medium heat.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the coconut aminos, honey and ginger. Combine well, then add 3 tbsp of the mixed sauce to the pork, reserving the remainder for drizzling over finished wraps.
  4. "Stuff" the lettuce leaves with pork, and top with the shredded cabbage, carrots, cilantro and green onion.
