Honey-Cinnamon Golden Milk Latte
I love it when something creamy, comforting and delicious also happens to be good for you! I originally posted this quick-and-dirty golden milk recipe way back in 2017 and today I really wanted a cup to curl up with. So I gave it a little update to include a wee bit of ginger because I want to get as much anti-inflammatory support as I can!
The recipe calls for 1/4 tsp, but I used closer to a half teaspoon in mine. If you like the flavor of ginger, definitely play with it! It has so many beneficial properties, I say add as much as you can…it not only curbs inflammation, it also has tumor-fighting properties, positively impacts blood sugar and aides digestion.
This sweet and spicy cup is full of a few other things that benefit the body, too:
Coconut is known for it's impact to the gut microbiome
Turmeric is both anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial
Honey is rich in antioxidants
Cinnamon has been shown to positively impact blood sugar
