Pumpkin Spice Turmeric Latte
Pumpkin Spice Turmeric Latte! This cup of creamy, gut healing goodness is how I started my day out! I will shamelessly tell you that today is my birthday, and I want to focus the first part of this year on my microbiome. Coconut is being shown to have a significant impact to the gut microbiome, and turmeric is both anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. I will definitely be including more treats like this to help get my belly balanced!
TWO 8 oz. SERVINGS
•1 can full fat coconut milk
•1 tsp ground turmeric
•1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
•1/8 tsp ground cloves
•3 tbsp pumpkin puree
•1-2 tbsp raw honey, depending on your desired sweetness
•Topping: 1 tbsp coconut cream whipped with 1 tsp raw honey
Warm the coconut milk in a saucepan, then add and combine remaining ingredients (except for topping ingredients).
When warm, pour into a mug through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any turmeric pieces.
Top with a dollop of the coconut cream topping.
